Generosity of the Springett Family Foundation
SHCH is a recipient of the Springett Family Foundation’s annual allocation of funds to community organisations in the Wingecarribee Shire.
SHCH received $25,000 from the Foundation. SHCH’s application focussed on upgrading and improving the operational side of our business – establishing a permanent office, the set up and fit out of the new furniture store in Mittagong prior to its opening next month, updated shops’ signage, and improvements to the other Hospice shops.
SHCH is delighted to be one of the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s generosity. Watch out for publicity from the Foundation about its grants.
The funds come at an opportune time for SHCH following the Board decision to end relations with ERF Hospice Foundation Limited (ERF) last month after determining that arrangements presented by ERF on the ongoing business conditions of SHCH’s involvement in the Hospice were not satisfactory or beneficial to SHCH or the community.
SHCH continues with plans to establish and run a community Hospice. The search for land continues and the Foundation funds allow us to progress more quickly on fundraising through a high quality, well presented retail presence across the five Hospice Shops and a professional office for managing the business and presenting a professional corporate identity for SHCH in the Southern Highland.
