About Us

About the Organisation

The Southern Highlands Community Hospice is made up of a dedicated and committed team of Southern Highlands residents to ensure all aspects of palliative care to patients throughout the Southern Highlands is delivered with care and compassion.

We have over 80 enthusiastic volunteers who assist in the day-to-day running of our retail store “Timeless Fashion & Furniture” on Bong Bong Street, Bowral, volunteers who act as Pal Carers to palliative care patients in aged care residences and a team of biographers who write an individual’s life story to create an enduring legacy for family and friends.

Our Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of professionals whose skill set covers all facets of business management and operations, including medical, marketing, arts, teaching, and professional services. As volunteers, they are focused on achieving the charity’s objectives from palliative care initiatives through to sound business management.

We are honored to have recently appointed Noeline Brown as our Patron. Her contribution to the Performing Arts and Entertainment in Australia is without peer along with her services to charity and as a Former Ambassador for Ageing for the Federal Government.
